According to Heptapolis’ defined innovation, its further pollution by anthropogenic urban, industrial and agricultural activities must be prevented by completely scientific approaches.

The scientific staff of Heptapolis, within the framework of the infrastructure studies for all the cities of the Trilogy and the tourist villages and hotels, is in line with the programmes of the European Union mentioned in the Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC) and the individual subsidiary guidelines.

Within the framework of the existing approaches concerning the regularity of “Water Use”, the immediate objective is to stop the degradation of water quality, with the future goal that all water resources existing in the countries of the European Union countries should be certified as “good quality” meeting strict ecological and chemical standards.
