Road Networks
The competent scientific staff of Heptapolis, is engaged with the necessary seriousness in the identification, study and planning of the new road networks concerning, linear, the car exits, (A) from the national road, in the Castle and the route from the road stations of Orchomenos, Livadeia, Distomo, Antikyron, Desfina, Itea, Fokida and (B) from Distomo, Arachova, Delphi, Desfina.
The new Highways of Heptapolis, built to a high standard, should safely transport the vehicles that will carry the seasonal visitors to the destinations of the cities of the Trilogy, Desfina and other destinations.
Highways, in order to avoid a variety of bends, should pass through underground tunnels and with the fewest bends to their destination areas.
Highways will also be closed with only the necessary exits and will be equipped with separating islands between the two traffic streams.
There will be railings on both sides of the road, while the intersection with other roads, such as vehicle entrances and exits from the main motorway, will be made only through bridges and at-grade junctions/exits, which for the better convenience of drivers will be numbered (4) so as not to disturb the traffic within the motorway (3-5).
Before each exit, there should necessarily be a separate slowing-down lane for vehicles intending to exit the motorway and, respectively, immediately after entry, an acceleration lane for vehicles re-entering.
Note that, as there will be no level crossing, the motorway will not need traffic lights (3-5).
It is also considered essential, that all car routes with a final destination of Desfina have small toilet facilities for the needs of the motorway users.
