Evangelos Caliosis is a writer, a teacher and founding
member of the Academy of Cosmosystemic Epistemology.
He was born in 1968 in Singen of North Rhine-Westfalia of
former West Germany, was raised in Preveza, Greece and
lives in Athens.
He studied History at Ionian University and did his
dissertation on Educational Leadership and Management at
the University of Nicosia.
He works as a Greek Literature teacher at Secondary
Education
From 2014 until 2016 he served as the Director of the State
Institute of Vocational Training of Corydallos Prison.
From 2016 until 2018 he was the Director of the State Institute of Vocational Training of
Aharnes and in 2018 he was appointed Director of the School of Second Chance in
Megara.
In 1991 he published Acrobatics, his rst collection of poems and he continued with other
books of poems, short stories and essays.
In March 2020 his novel “The Chip of Knowledge” was published in English by Ontime
Books.
“The Chip of Knowledge” received the 1st Prize for the Best Novel of 2019 from “Linos”
Foundation of Letters , Music and Art and “Evelies” 2nd Prize for the Best Science Fiction
Novel by a Greek Writer in 2019.
In 2020 he wrote the lyrics for eleven tracks of the music album “Democracy … Fake”, the
music composed by Sakis Tsilikis.
