Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura, a Filipino-American social activist and member of the royal family of the Sultanate of Maguindanao, is widely known as “The Traveling Queen.”
Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura was born into two prominent Filipino families: the Torres family of the Luzon Tagalog royal family and the Mastura family of the Sultanate of Maguindanao. Her brother is the current Supreme Sultan of Maguindanao, His Royal Highness Sultan Zulkarnain Mautura Kudarat VI.
She is a businesswoman, artist, and founder of the nonprofit organization We Care for Humanity (WCH), based in the United States, through which she has carried out extensive humanitarian activities in many parts of the world.
WCH’s initiatives encourage collaboration among world leaders, distinguished figures, multinational corporations, recognized brands, and tourism organizations, with the common goal of improving lives, promoting economic development, and fostering culture.
The President and members of the Board of Directors of the OLYMPOS Association—World Cultural Center—hereby proclaim Queen Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura “International Ambassador of Heptapolis – World Union of Cultures,” with the primary purpose of having the Queen and her staff promote the Association’s humanitarian and economic programs to the United Nations and UNESCO.
