The visitors of HEPTAPOLIS, a large part of which will belong to groups of young students or young scientists, who after their day trip to the HEPTAPOLIS buildings will stay in special hotels, will have the opportunity to enjoy in technologically advanced rooms of their accommodation, digital audiovisual programmes based on the principles of HEPTAPOLIS and the “Use of Knowledge”.

AMVROSSOS

”AMVROSSOS” will be a construction’’ and harmonious utilization in a thematic tourist character that will faithfully reproduce the lifestyle of Ancient Greece with permanent residents and visitors who will experience, even for a short period of time, the experience of contact with the classical Greek archetype.

The city ”AMVROSSOS” will also be a timeless station in international social development because it will be the creative and cultural response to the evils of modern times that disarm man of every cultivated concept and products of education, art, science, noble morals.

The return to the everyday life of the 5th century BC era will give the visitor the necessary energy to reorganize his physical and mental world, revising values and ideals that until now have been suppressed under the modern way of life we all know.

Coming out of or leaving AMVROSSOS  visitors will feel the need to return to the ancient Greek world they knew and will spontaneously maintain good habits and behaviour that they had the opportunity to experience in the classical city.

They will now have become helpers of the Greek Spirit and will be sending real messages to the rest of the world that is driven to social dead ends. The following are details of the construction of ancient Greek houses during the period of existence of AMVROSSOS for the understanding of the scholars.

CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

The AMVROSSOS-ANCIENT CITY will consist of:
– 20 to 30 “Middle Class” residences of 110-140sqm divided into basement, ground floor and possibly first floor
– 15 to 20 houses for the “Rich Class” of 180-220sqm divided into basement, ground floor and sometimes first floor
– 12 to 15 buildings for Public Buildings and Shops with a surface area of 200-300sqm for Public Buildings and 100-200sqm for Shops.
– Indicative shops: Winery, Oil mill, Press, Soap factory, Soap factory, Textile factory, Ironworks, Pottery, Cheese factory and shops selling tourist goods.

1. BAKERIES Traditional watermills after grinding the cereal ”Zea” which was the two-grain cereal of the ancient Greeks will direct the grinding to kneading mills where gluten-free bread and pastries will be made. 2. CHEESE DAIRIES Carrying pure milk from pastures and nearby hillsides, it will be cheesemaking using the classic method still used today in the surrounding villages, producing feta cheese and other derivatives of exceptional quality and taste. 3. BUTCHERY – FISH MARKET Meat and sausages will be sourced from cattle grazing in the nearby areas. Fish and seafood will be transported from the port of Antikyra. 4. WINERIES – WINE PRESSES – WINERIES Special attention will be paid to the Greek’s primordial contact with the vine. Local varieties will be cultivated alongside those that thrive in neighbouring areas because of the climate. Traditional wine presses and festivals will celebrate the slow transformation of the must into wine, which will be matured in containers and made available to families at wine festivals, banquets and formal gatherings. 5. OIL FARM Like wine, oil will have a similar place in the activities of producers, reviving the traditional way of cold processing oil and preparing and storing olives. 6. FRUIT DRYING LABORATORY Raisins, figs, figs, walnuts, pistachios, carobs and other nuts will be dried in special trays and will be a staple in the daily diet. 7. MELISCOOP In ceramic hives placed at a safe distance from the city, similar to those used for the bees of the ancient beekeepers, honey and products such as pastels and other desserts for dinners will be patiently and meticulously produced. 8. RESTAURANT AREAS – DINERS In the homes of all categories, the dining areas will be able to provide the necessities for the preparation of daily meals for families based on guided traditional recipes. In the wineries and banqueting areas, the diners will be the caretakers of a healthy diet. 9. POTTERY Ceramics in the city will be a busy activity because apart from the production of necessary utensils identical to the findings of the archaeological sites for the daily needs of the kitchen and various activities, models will be made and exhibited for sale – gifts – souvenirs of visits – friendly exchanges, etc. 10. SMITHERY A blacksmith shop is essential for any needs and orders in farm work, horse riding activities, repair of chariots and also to showcase the art of wrought metal. 11. LABORATORY FOR HYDRAULIC INTERVENTIONS – SEWAGE TREATMENT The proper functioning of the hydraulic installations will be discreetly monitored with modern methods and sensors, even in the low temperatures of the region in winter. Wastewater will be collected and treated, with water being reused for irrigation and saving on crops. 12. COMPOSTING PLANT – VEGETABLE PLANTING Fruit trees and vegetables grown for the needs of the city will be fed with natural fertilizer composting products with agitation and oxygenation in specially designed ventilated areas with hydraulically operated fluids and collectors that do not disturb the environment. 13. SOAPS AND PERFUMES Natural soap and perfumes – essential oils prepared according to traditional recipes will also be exhibited for sale in addition to meeting the needs of the city. 14. ANCIENT MILL – WATER MILL LAUNDRY An annex to the hydraulic installation will be a water mill system on an inclined plane which will serve the cleaning and washing needs of fabrics, clothes and textiles made locally using the techniques of weaving looms, weaving wool and cotton and dyeing with natural materials (saffron, purple, lapata, etc.). 15. POST OFFICE – COMMUNICATION CENTRE Communication within the city will be served by messenger riders, and postmen but for emergency purposes a closed circuit network with fibre optic cables constructed underground will be used. Communication outside the city will be served by a modern exchange. 16. MUSIC LABORATORY OF ANCIENT INSTRUMENTS An integral part of daily life that will be harmoniously spread throughout the premises, music, as well as the establishment of a workshop for the construction of ancient musical instruments and a Music School for the training of young talents and music lovers. The culmination of the musical accompaniment will focus on the various banquets, festivals and customs that will be held as well as the creation of commemorative recordings on magnetic discs to transmit this type of special musical communication to other places and peoples. 17. DANCE SCHOOL Dance Schools by qualified dance teachers and historians will teach and convey the wonder of musical creation in the expression of the body and movements so gracefully depicted in ancient depictions. 18. SCHOOLS OF CLASSICAL ARTS Painting, engraving, sculpture, poetry, and other arts will be taught by specialists in the Schools and will be addressed to all persons who have a natural inclination toward these arts or who would like to be introduced to the world of ancient and classical subjects. 19. LIBRARY – FOLKLORE MUSEUM – ARCHAEOLOGICAL CENTRE Knowledge, science, experience, folklore, innovations of the past, timeless thoughts and philosophy will be the subject of collection, study and constructive thought reflected in behaviour within the city with social cohesion, function of customs and traditions (not religious). 20. LABORATORY – MUSEUM OF ANCIENT WEAPONS The construction of ancient weapons with ancient techniques by experienced craftsmen will contribute to the holding of precision and skill competitions by the participants, as is done in modern federations, and will bring people even closer to nature by recreating the habits of hunting, fishing, gathering fruits, conveying the message of moderation and not the encroachment and plundering of the environment that occurs today in modern societies. 21. EQUESTRIAN TRAINING – HORSE RIDING, CHARIOTEERING. The horse has always accompanied man in ancient Greece. Its close relationship started with agricultural activities, transport, courier services, warfare, chariot races and numerous other activities. In Amvroso, the horse will regain the recognition it deserves by taking part in such activities, organising a riding school, a riding school, races, chariot races and precision shows.

22. SPORTS CENTRE
Finally, sport, trainers, skating rinks and the holding of competitions will be a key part of everyday life in the city and will celebrate the HEALTHY MIND IN A HEALTHY BODY. Illustrative 3D renderings of these buildings are shown in the following Appendix.

SUPPORTING WORK

In addition to the infrastructure works and buildings of the city (Residential, Public Buildings and Shops), support functions-services for both the “permanent residents” and visitors will be placed in a suitable location (without altering the character of AMVROSSOS – ANCIENT CITY).
