The Library ” ALEXANDER THE GREAT “ will be the largest single operational complex of HEPTAPOLIS. It will have a maximum circumference circle length of 3,555 m and a width of the lower floors of 49 m, while the width of the upper floors will be 31,50 m.
It will comprise 3 floors at the first level, the first floor being 7.50 m high, the second floor 4.50 m high and the third floor 3.60 m high.

The upper level will also include 3 floors, 4.50 m high, the first, 3.60 m high, the second and 3.60 m high, the third with a curved elevation of an additional 3.60 m in the middle of the roof. The tiled roofs will be decorated with lion’s head gutters and classical-style cornices.

It will have a 360 marble columns which consist the inner ring towards Zostiras, and a ring of peripheral road in front of the atrium facade on its entire external area, 11 meters wide. There will be perimeter exits for visitors wishing to enter the Ring Garden.

There will be 180 domed entrances to the Library “Alexander the Great”, from the inner and 180 from the outer side of the Zostiras. Each entrance of the Library to the Zoster will be located midway between two columns. The 7 m high dovecote columns will support a horizontal roof 6 m wide from the vertical surface of the building wall.
The enclosed width of the ground floor of the Library “ALEXANDER THE GREAT” will be 31,50 m.

Luxurious facets and paintings with images from the Homeric epics ILIAS and ODYSSEA, on the two halves of the periphery of the ceiling, will decorate the surfaces throughout the peristyle of the ground floor of the Library “ALEXANDER THE GREAT”. On the ‘ALEXANDER THE GREAT’S’ Library’s Colonnade, along the entire length of the façade on the periphery of the ground floor and at a height of 2,5 metres, there will be paintings depicting the life and activities of Alexander the Great. The supply of the city’s needs will be covered by 6 different underground roads running from the gates of the Olympic Walls to the centre of HEPTAPOLIS. There will be no underground road from the side of the Gates of Light.

The participation of the 194 UN member-states in the “ALEXANDROS THE GREAT” Library will be divided in area with a system of distribution in units, according to the volume of history and culture of each state.

The total area of the ground floor, including the atrium of the “GREAT ALEXANDROS” Library Lodge, with a maximum perimeter length of 3.555 m., a width of 37.50 m. – including the wing – and a total height of 6 floors, is determined to be approximately 93.324 m², taking into account the reduction in size, towards the interior of the Zostiras. The total area of the first lower floor (3.555 m x 49 m) will be 166.715 sq m. The second and third floors will have the same area. The fourth and fifth floors will each have an area of 3,555 m x 36 m = 123,891 m². The sixth floor will have an area excluding the atrium of 3,555 m x 31,5 m = 111,982,25 m².

Because the historical, cultural volume of a European state, such as France, cannot be compared with that of Ghana or Laos, there will be a thorough study of the distribution of the area to the countries of the Eastern and Western hemisphere, so as not to create a qualitative deficit, due to the uneven distribution of the space of the Library “ALEXANDROS THE GREAT”.
